Ansty

A small village about nine miles south of Sturminster Newton and the same distance west of Blandford.

Ansty was the home of the Hall & Woodhouse brewery founded in 1777 before moving to Blandford Forum.

There are spectacular views on top of nearby Bulbarrow Hill which was a radar station during the second world war. It is Dorset,s second highest point at 902 feet. Excellent walks nearby.

The village has a pub-The Fox which has a number of rooms to let and serves lunches and evening meals. There is also an excellent shop and Post Office in the village as well as a village hall.

Our view.

Lovely Dorset Village where houses are sold by word of mouth. Some really beautiful cottages strung out along the narrow roads. Expect to pay a premium.
